Metal Gear Solid 4 gets official release
- MSG 4 world wide release date is confirmed by Konami to be June 12, 2008. There will be three different versions the "Standard Version" including METAL GEAR Online Starter Pack, the "Special Edition" including a Blu-ray Disc of bonus features in addition to the everything included in the Standard Version, and the "Premium Pack" which includes a PLAYSTATION 3 Console in addition to the Special Edition. Phil Harrison resigns from Sony
- SCE Worldwide Studios President Phil Harrison has stated that he will resign on February 29th. SCE CEO Kaz Hirai will assume Harrison's role as well as attend to his own duties as SCE CEO. Phil has been with Sony since 1992. Read more

EA does not buy Take Two
- EA announced that they want to buy take two for $26 per a share. The board of directors of Take two has rejected the offer in a chain of letter back and forth by John and the Take two board of directors. If EA had bought Take two there would be several pros and cons. For one the stocks would go up and things would be less console exclusive. On the con side games would have lots of compilations and expansions released, 2K Sports would be replaced by EA, and the quality of games would be lowered. Read more

PS2 becomes $99
- BBC spotted this the Red ring of death at GDC 2008 in Microsoft's XNA booth which they documented in a video. So if you have an Xbox 360 pray that you don't get the Red ring. Read more

New Leisure Suit Larry game gets a trailer
- The new game in the Leisure Suit Larry game shows its first trailer today. It parodies the Mad World Gears of War trailer where Larry Laffer runs from zombies. The new game is titled Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust is planned for Q4 of 2008 and will be released on the Xbox 360. Read more

Mario Kart for the Wii confirmed
- Today Nintendo has confirmed on its press site Mario Kart will be released for the Wii with official images of Mario Kart Wii box art. It is planned for release on Q2 2008. Read more

StarCraft Ghost not canceled
- Blizzard's Frank Pearce says that StarCraft Ghost was never officially cancelled in a statement with MTV. He mentions that Blizzard is spending their time on time on "World of Warcraft", its expansion "Wrath of the Lich King" and "StarCraft II". Read more

Mortal Kombat: Devastation will probably suck
- Chris "Mink" Morrison has been hired to direct the new Mortal Kombat movie. Morrison has directed Full Clip in 2004 and the adventure thriller Into the Sun in 2005. Mortal Kombat: Devastation will be a reboot of the franchise from the bottom up. Just hope Midway has a say in the plot for some consistancy. Read more
