Spore Creature Creator Hands-On
- IGN got some hands-on time with Spore's Creature Creator and recorded a 12-minute demonstration. While Spore won't be available until September, the Creature Creator will be released June 17. Any creatures you create with it will be usable in the game. Read more

Jack Thompson found guilty
- The Florida Supreme Court has found Jack Thompson guilty on 27 of 31 charges of professional misconduct (21 counts from the GTA lawsuit, 4 counts from the Bully lawsuit, and 2 non-game related charges). There will be a disciplinary hearing on the first week of June. Read more

E3 summit floorplans revealed
- The E3 summit will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 15-17, 2008. Some of the companies who are attending are revealed in the floor plans. Read more
EA might extend merger offer to Take-Two Interactive
- EA's current offer to Take-two Interactive expired on Friday and the Wall Street Journal said they may be re-extending the deadline for merging. Currently the stock is at $26.33 USD after the market closed on Friday. The stock is predicted to rise if EA decides to extend the offer and when the GTAIV profits come in for Q2. Read more
Ghostbusters 3 gameplay
- Sony has showed off the gameplay of their Ghostbusters 3 game. It features a destructible environment, multiple ghost variants, and original voice acting. Read more

Mass Effect copy protection made less annoying
- Bioware (and EA) have changed their minds regarding an authentication scheme that would require reauthorization every ten days. Instead, online activation will only be required on installation, and when downloading "new content". Read more

Grand Theft Auto IV Breaks Worldwide Entertainment Records
- Grand Theft Auto IV for the PS3 and Xbox 360 sold over 6 million copies in its first week and 3.6 million on day one. This equates to a worldwide sales value of $500 million after one week and $310 million on release day, which is a new all-time sales record for any form of entertainment, including movie industry. The title sold an estimated 926,000 sales in the United Kingdom alone. Read more
EA gives Mass Effect an annoying piracy protection
- EA is giving the PC version of Mass Effect a SecuROM protection which updates online for every ten days. EA says that their servers are also ready for the beating. This new protection was previously used on Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire which has already been cracked before. Read more

Lawsuit on CTA
- Take-Two is suing the Chicago Transit Authority who pulled $300,000 worth of Ads prior to the release of GTAIV after fox news made some comments. Take two is suing on the basis that its free speech and contractual rights. My fox Chicago takes credit for taking down the ads by targeting disenfranchise African Americans to give their opinions on the ads. The ads are being pull because of violence, yet none of the ads show violent images or promote violence Read more

Iron Man game second on GameFly list
- Despite GTAIV hype about causing poor attendance to the film Iron Man the movie did very well at the box office this weekend. The Sega game also did well by ranking #2 on GameFly's most rented list for the week. Read more

NCsoft, Foundation 9, Atlus also skipping E3
- Possibly due to (rumored) discontent with the ESA's current president, Mike Gallagher, a number of other publishers have also decided not to attend E3, and Activision/Vivendi have even terminated their membership in the organization. id Software, however, has admitted uncertainty regarding whether or not it wishes to attend. Blizzard acquires Diablo3.com
- Blizzard confirms purchase of Diablo3.com domain, but spews the usual PR spin, saying "we don’t have any plans to announce at this time." Read more
