During the reign of Ming Dynasty, the land of China was enveloped with peace, abundant with rich rescources and harmonious society. This is the period where Kungfu martial arts flourished and great school (Sect) emerged. Written by one of the great martial artist, the Nine Yin manual is a book of martial arts that teaches different techniques using power of the heart and soul to subdue an enemy, is kept hidden at a secret place in Jianghu.
Jianghu is a town known as the birth of Kungfu martial arts. The 4 righteous Sects: Shaolin, Emei, Wudang and Beggar help maintain peace and order on the land and are bound by the Wuxia code that requires them to right wrongs, fight for righteousness and remove an oppressor.
An ambitious Emperor named Hongwu wants to take over and rule the land. Hungry for power, he created his own Sect known as the Royal Guards to murder all those who are not in favor of his ministry. Blinded by his ambition, he made a pact with a ruthless Sect known as Wanderer’s Valley who’s lead by a divinator that practices vicious martial arts. Together they hunt down all people who despise their regime.
With chaos rising on the land, people fear for their lives and began to create Sects to protect themselves. One family created a Sect known as Tangmen who practices martial art skills by the use of hidden weapons and poisons. Scholar Sect began recruiting people who are skilled and talented to practice martial arts by using music.
The once peaceful land became a battle ground for every factions. Desperate to obtain power and authority, the Emperor search for the Nine Yin Manual to gain leadership on all Sects.
Will the evil Emperor succeed on terrorizing the land using the evil Sects? How can the righteous Sects defend Jianghu and bring back serenity on the once peaceful land? Will the neutral Sects rise above all Sects? Will each Sects fight for supremacy?
So the story of age of kungfu begins...
