The Atari 5200 Controller is the standard controller for all Atari 5200 units. It consisted of a 12-function keypad, a 360-directional analog control stick, and four side action buttons, allowing for left- and right-handed gameplay. It also has a Reset, Start, and Pause button for briefly interrupting gameplay. This controller is usually disliked for the stick's lack of self-centering (making games like Pac-Man for the Atari 5200 difficult if not impossible to play) and its lack of durability.
