Azurill is a third generation Pokémon, first appearing in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It is the pre-evolution of Marill.

The only way to get Azurill in Ruby/Sapphire is to breed a Marill or Azumarill and another Pokémon of its egg type and have it hatch from the resulting egg. Naturally, Azurill is not available in Red/Blue, Pokémon Yellow or Gold/Silver/Pokémon Crystal because it didn't exist yet.
