Baal is a character in the Diablo series known as one the three brothers to appear in the Diablo games, title character and final boss of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Baal is said to strive for destruction and disorder and is often associated with animals, particularly those bred as soldiers or serving some purpose on the battlefield. By the time he launched his assault on Mount Arreat, his army is an amalgamation of not only beasts, but also the undead and demons.
