Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is video game made by Black Isle Studios in 2004 and is a direct sequel to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.[3]. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is played in real time from a Top-down view and is based on Dungeons & Dragons' popular Forgotten Realms setting.[3][7] Xbox version has better graphics.[7]

Story

The story starts with the heroes of the first game getting captured by vampire king mordoc who plans to use onyx tower for his own nefarious purpose and new heroes arise taking on the threat.[3]

Gameplay

In the beginning player chooses character from five characters including human barbarian, dark elf monk, moon elf necromancer, dwarf rogue and human priest.[3] Player can block, jump, use potions, attack, use magic and change weapon types quickly.[3] Finishing quests and killing enemies gives player experience points which can be spend on abilities and character attributes.[7] Characters have limited carrying capacity.[7] The NPC's gives quests to player.[3] Important NPC's are marked with a big talk icons.[3] There is a shop where player can sell stuff and buy basic stuff.[7] In workshop weapons can be imbued with special powers with runes and gems.[7]

Reception

The game has average of 81% for PS2 and average of 79% for Xbox on Game Rankings.[8]
