Splats is an enemy in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a bunny like badnik that jumps around on it's spring.
Splats was originally meant to appear in Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), but was removed prior to its release for unknown reasons. However, it's graphical data still existed inside the coding of NTSC and PAL releases.
But it did make it's first official appearance in Sonic Mania.
