Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance is a 3rd person action/fighting video game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was developed by cavia, inc. and published by Capcom, and released on August 23, 2005. In it, the player takes the role of any of 5 gangsters, running from their boss. The player earns respect on the street by fighting enemies and performing beatdown killing moves on them. The player can buy clothes to disguise themself from the police and defeat gang bosses to earn ultimate reputation.

In Both Vs modes you can watch battles, fight a cpu, and fight against a friend. The difference between Vs mode normal and custom mode is in custom mode you can chose between the characters you have recruited in your gang. In vs mode normal its only the main characters. You can a have a max of 3 characters to both teams.
Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance received generally negative reviews from critics. The PlayStation 2 version currently has a 50% on Game Rankings and a 48 out of 100 on Metacritic, while the Xbox version has slightly higher scores of 54% and 51 out of 100 respectively. IGN gave it a 4.6 out of 10.
