Beatmania IIDX 18 Resort Anthem is an upcoming music video game in the Beatmania IIDX series of games by Konami. On April 19, 2010, Bemani fansite Zenius -I- Vanisher reported that Konami had announced the first location test for the newest game in the IIDX series. The location test ran from April 22 to April 26 at the Cat Machida (キャッツアイ町田) in Machida, Tokyo.[1] Follow up location tests ran in Chōfu, Tokyo and Kyoto from April 30 to May 6,[2] in Nagoya and Sapporo from May 14 to May 20[3] and in Chiyoda, Tokyo from June 11 to June 12.[4]

What's New on this Series

  • Theme : Beach (Vacation)
  • Features PASELI e- money system, that is also featured on jubeat knit.
  • Introduces Premium Free Mode, where the player plays for 8 minutes as opposed to 2 stages. A song in-game can be cancelled by pressing the EFFECT and VEFX buttons simultaneously, however, the time spent during the song would still count as part of the 8 minutes.
  • Introduces DJ Order Mode, which is similar to pop'n music's Challenge mode, where a player can select missions (similar to pop'n's Normas) and earn DELLAR POINTS.

Beatmania IIDX 18 Resort Anthem will feature more than 60 new songs to the series as well as over 600 returning songs from previous IIDX games.[5][6]
