Well, apparently my Wii will no longer allow me to play games. I assume the disc reader has malfunctioned, as it doesn't even respond to running a game. *Sigh*...I've had it for 4 years and I've used it plenty of times, definatly didn't think it would die on me, but looks like it's time to invest in a new Wii!Read more >

This is a personal list of my top 10 Nintendo 64 video games. I love my Nintendo 64, I've had it since I was about 4-5 years old. I've probably clocked over 1000 hours playing on my Nintendo 64, I can proudly say I've gone through a few systems and several controllers --- because there was so much fun invested into this system, I'm glad I was able to experience it while I was young, as it is the system that got me hooked on video games.
1. Super Mario 64
2. Super Smash Bros.
3. Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon
4. Mario Kart 64
5. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
6. GoldenEye 007

Hey everyone. We are officially on week two of the new year. With a new year, comes new changes, specifically Encyclopedia Gamia. Here is a current list of projects I have thought of for this year:
- Clean up imports ("borrows") from Wikipedia by removing non-existant templates, links, etc.
- Make the portals more user-friendly by revamping the star system.
- Countinually add information on video game elements such as characters, quests, weapons, items, etc.
- Expand "stub" articles.
- Get a solid editing community.
- Promote dedicated users to admins.
If there is anything missing that you feel we should add, leave a comment. We are open to any and all suggestions!Read more >

If you, like me, own a Kinect, Playstation Eye, and Wii, then the top of your flat screen TV probably looks like a warzone as each peripheral battles it out for top-of-the-TV domination. Usually the Kinect beats out the other two as it's a much more delicate device in comparison, but now thanks to an upcoming TriMount system from dreamGear, all three peripherals can gain the respect they all rightfully deserve.
The TriMount can be mounted on top of your flat screen TV or with the included wall mount in order to house the Kinect, PlayStation Eye, and Wii sensor bar in one convenient tower of awesome. The TriMount allows you to slide each peripheral in and will keep all three peripherals secure on your TV with a couple of twists from the scre…Read more >
When I think of Summer, I think of three things: Bar-B-Ques, women wearing tiny bathing suits, and video games. OK, that's completely not fair as I'm always thinking about video games no matter what season it is, but in this case, I'm thinking about Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion which is currently in its 4th year.

World of Warcraft is the reigning champion of the MMO world as it has enough players to start its own small nation and it looks like it's going to be receiving a wave of new users as Blizzard has announced the game will be completely free to play up until a character reaches level 20.
Before the change, Blizzard was giving 48 hour free trials to new players, but this "free to play until level 20" model will make the game much more accessible, especially for players who want to take their time exploring Azeroth without any time restrictions. Blizzard is also allowing players to create as many characters as they'd like for free, but will probably place some restrictions in order to stop spammers.
If players decide they want to continue their a…

It looks like the honeymoon period of the Wii U's announcement has come to an end as more information regarding Nintendo's highly anticipated and mysterious system is leaking out of E3.
The latest news to come out of E3 on the Wii U is its lack of support to play Gamecube games. The Wii U is only backwards compatible with Wii and its accessories such as the Wii remote, nunchuk, and Wii Balance Board. So if you were planning on ever finishing Super Mario Sunshine or Eternal Darkness, you better get to work as you won't be able to experience them on the Wii U.
Seeing as how the Virtual Console is host of many classic games on a variety of Nintendo and non-Nintendo systems, I could see Gamecube games making their debut once the Wii U is release…Read more >
Before we were introduced to the Wii U, Nintendo was hyping its Project Cafe machine as being more powerful than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Seeing how the Nintendo Wii's graphics greatly underperformed the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, the public couldn't help by scoff at the idea of Nintendo producing a powerful machine.
A report from Engadget has ousted what kind of goods are under the Wii U's hood and they sure are impressive. The Wii U will be using a Radeon GPU that is similar to the R770 which can be found in last-gen cards such as the 4890. When you take a look at what the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have been capable of doing with GPUs that are five years old, then we can finally start to believe the Wii U will be a powerhouse of …Read more >
Now that Team Fortress 2 is completely free for all to play for almost a week, I hope you all have taken the time to check out one of the best multiplayer experiences you're going to play on PC & Mac. What you're probably not aware of is sometimes the characters in Team Fortress 2 like to attempt to dress up as other characters to see what it would be like to be them for the day. As you'll see in this video, Heavy decides he wants to be a Spy for the day.
The animation of the characters, their movements, and the all-around quirkiness remind me of what a Ren & Stimpy cartoon would look like in the Team Fortress 2 world. As much fun as Heavy has during his time as a Spy, he can't quite help himself but to convert to another character when he …Read more >
After completeing L.A. Noire, I can safely say some of the investigative tactics Detective Phelps uses during the game would be quite awkward to attempt to implement in real life. Funny or Die thought the same thing and produced a video that shows how insane Phelps can be if he were to use his sometimes strange detective work in real life.
As you'd expect, Phelps will interact with items that don't pertain to his "case" at the moment, investigate a fellow police officer on the truth of how his weekend was, and Phelps will awkwardly manhandle a corpse. All the while, Phelps will move around in the awkward manner that he does in the game.

Those Bethesda folk sure are a sneaky bunch. While everyone was enjoying the quiet before the E3
storm, they released a new gameplay trailer for RAGE that takes players through one of the game's many missions, The Well.
The gameplay trailer starts off with the player inside of a depressing looking bar in a desolate town. The player makes his way through the town, talking to various town folk who will make various comments on his achievements during previous missions. Suddenly, a siren can be heard off in the distance and the player runs off to see what causes it. The player meets with Carlson who informs us bandits have shown up in the well and are threatening to poison the town's water supply. This initiates the start of the player's journe…Read more >

Have you been keeping tabs on BioShock Infinite, even getting a case of acrophobia like I did when the latest screenshots and trailer were released from E3? Well, that's about to get worse as the latest video on BioShock Infinite has Ken Levine going into the details of how the sky-lines came to be.
If the video is any indication, I suspect there's going to be a lot of time on the sky-lines to transport Booker from one place to another, as well as to be used in combat. I guess I'll need to man up and get over my fear of heights soon to prepare myself for the game when it's released next year.Read more >

Just like everyone else who has played Team Fortress 2 throughout the years, I'm impressed by how much free content Valve continues to pump into the game on a semi-regular basis. But it looks like we ain't seen nothing yet as Valve has announced its "biggest, most ambitious update in the history of Team Fortress 2."
The first bit of news concerning the update is we'll finally be receiving a new "Meet the" video, this time highlighting the Medic class. Seeing as how popular the previous "Meet the" videos were, I can guarantee the video will be a success when it's released later this week.
Aside from the upcoming Meet the Medic video, Valve has announced the first class pack called "Mobster Mondays" which the company conducted its research thr…Read more >

One of my favorite games on the PS3 of all time has got to be 2009's Warhawk. With the new console smell permeating Nintendo's offices and maybe Microsoft's offices as well, it comes as quite a surprise to hear Sony might be joining in on the "new console smell" fun that Nintendo and possibly Microsoft are enjoying these days.

At this year's E3, the only company to unveil their next generation console was Nintendo with its Wii U, but it looks like Microsoft may be unveiling its next generation console at E3 2012 according to a recent rumor.
