Bomberman Hero has allegedly no connection with the other Bomberman N64 exclusive, Bomberman 64. Here, the gameplay is given a drastic overhaul, making it more of a standard platforming/action game by getting rid of arguably archaic game mechanics (One hit deaths, lack of jumping, etc.) As Bomberman, you'll work to save Bomberworld and some sort of queen/princess, all the while wrestling with dangerous enemies and a nearly static camera position.

In a shocking, ballsy, gut-wrenching move by Hudson, Bomberman Hero does away with Multiplayer. Completely. Whether this is to save space or if it would have sucked anyway is unknown.
