The Bumper is an item from the Super Smash Bros. series of video games. It first appeared in the original Super Smash Bros., but was ultimately replaced by the Flipper in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The Bumper makes a return in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
The item acts as an obstacle which, when planted, forces player to pushed aside whenever they bump into it. It resembles the sort of bumper one would find in a pinball machine, and makes similar noises to one as well.
