Princess Daisy first appeared as the kidnapped princess Mario was charged to save in Super Mario Land for the Game Boy. It was speculated that Daisy was an alias for Princess Peach, but she has since become her own character in games like Mario Party and Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.
Super Mario Land
During mario's visit in her kingdom she was kidnapped by Tanaga the mysteries space man and was forced to almost get married to him. When ever mario would defeat a boss he would meet a false Princess Daisy. In the final level after Mario defeated Tanaga Daisy she rewarded him with a kiss and peace was restored.
