Dragon Quest IV (Dragon Warrior IV in North America) is a game released the Famicom and Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was remade on the PlayStation. The game was remade again for the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS remake was subtitled, Dragon Quest IV: The Guided Ones (Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen in North America) (Dragon Quest: Chapters of the Chosen in Europe).
The game is the sequel to Dragon Quest III and is the fourth game in the Dragon Quest series and the first game in the Zenithian/Sky Castle trilogy, distinct from the Erdrick/Roto trilogy that preceded it.

The game was organized into five distinct chapters. Each of the first four chapters introduced some of the characters that would join the main character in the fifth and final chapter.
