The Halo 3 video game is expected to revive the flagging fortunes of Microsoft's flagship games console Xbox 360. Halo 3 has been hyped as the "biggest entertainment event in history" and the most highly anticipated game of the year by Redmond, which is hoping to give a boost to Xbox 360 sales ahead of the crucial holiday season.

Analysts are predicting that Halo 3 will rake in $150 million in sales within 24 hours of its release on September 25. However it remains to be seen whether the game is all that it is hyped to be.
