Getting posts like these can be extremely useful to a wiki, as it brings readers - and possibly more editors. It's also good press - even if the people do not visit your site as a result of the news post, they will likely get a positive opinion from it.

Know about any blogs or websites that report on community news? Contact them and tell them about your wiki. Don't feel shy - many of these sites will be eager for news to post!

Of course, don't spam them, but you could get them to report on:

• Hitting article count milestones.
• New site features and designs.
• New site software (especially if you do something cool with it).
• Collaborations with game developers.

Basically, anything that would be of interest to people on a general basis.
