The purpose of this page is to provide a place for users of the Wikia Gaming to nominate their peers to be promoted to administrator status. Nominations posted here should be posted as wiki user links, and seconds should be posted as text under a nomination.
The general goal of Wikia Gaming is to have an administrator for every few hundred users, to maintain organization, watch contributions, and guard the system against acts of vandalism and harassment.
The following are the currently considered criteria for selecting administrators for Wikia Gaming:
Good familiarity with MediaWiki/WG/Wikipedia in general and editing skills.
Good history of updates and changes to articles, with proven written English skills and quality of contribution.
Highly respected by fellow members of the community.
Approval of a majority of the existing administrators.
Little or no history of banning/locking.
Special considerations of the administrative staff or specific needs of the wiki itself.
Accepted admins or those removed from the process will be removed from this page as an ongoing process. No one will be removed from the process without a given reason. Nominated users not voted admins must wait a minimum of one month before being nominated again. Users may not nominate themselves.
As one of the more active users currently on this Wikia, he has alot of gaps in his contributions. I mean, administrators should be active everyday, even if they don't edit on a daily basis, they should moniter what is going on at all times. Conker has an impressive amount of contributions, don't get me wrong, but he seems busy juggling other Wikias as well as this one -- I don't think he'll be able to manage being an administrator on this Wikia, while contending with being active on his other Wikis. This is just my opinion, but I'm going with Neutral, leaning towards Support Zmario 23:24, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
Your right, he does have a lot of work at other wikis... --Bullet 00:20, November 24, 2011 (UTC)
Patrolls the wiki a lot and all that. I think he is good faithed and can use some extra powers. I am impressed by his work. He also does have good-faithed behaviour and that is the importance of him. Jello Rabbit 18:58, August 9, 2011 (UTC) (Note: nominator is now known as Conker's Bad Fur Day)
No comments at all in over three months? It would seem this decision is up to me, now. Anyway, with a fairly solid editing history, plus or minus a couple of minor issues that shouldn't affect how he uses the admin tools, he will, hopefully, make a good admin. Closing as accepted and rights granted. - Adan Aileron (talk) 19:32, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
In the daytime, he is the only active user and he does many good-faith edits like adding tons of more content to pages. I think someone deserves a promotion. Jello Rabbit 21:54, April 24, 2011 (UTC)
Closing this as not now. Can be renominated in a few months. - Adan Aileron (talk) 08:58, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
At the moment I really don't see what you say. The pages he "created" he has copy pasted from wikipedia. And ontop of that we already have tons of wikipedia pages that was imported that needs a lot more attention. If all he will do is copy paste from wikipedia then I'm afraid I'll have to say no. I might change my answer on further edits, but for now this is my vote. Veilor 16:48, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with Veilor here. - Adan Aileron (talk) 19:43, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
Hi! I'm Jedi Master Yoda! I'm a super active contributor to the Wiki, working on emulator, pokemon and nintendo 64 game articles and I have added useful categories to several pages. I make about 150 edits a week. I have a large amount of experience with Wikia editing and stuff. I am also part of Wikia Gaming: News Team. So, please vote for me! :D
I'm experienced in creating templates and polls as well as excellent graphical signature like the one I have. 14:34, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
Closing this as no. Candidate has demonstrated some serious lapses of character, both here and elsewhere, including:
Sockpuppetry: Not on this wiki, to be sure, but it speaks to his character, so it's still relevant.
Evasion of criticism: This is not something an admin should be doing on a regular basis.
Bearing grudges: Candidate has referred a number of times to plans to abuse helper rights (by removing admin rights and blocking certain editors he doesn't like) should he obtain them. An admin must have a measure of objectivity. Personal grudges are not a luxury afforded to admins.
Jedi Master Yoda should understand that these are serious character defects, and work on getting rid of them. One last note: self-nominations are not permitted. One should read the rules before requesting others do so. - Adan Aileron (talk) 08:58, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
Begging for votes on user pages, it's unbecoming and not very mature. - Wagnike2 16:45, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
Too soon, in my opinion. Jedi Master Yoda has only really been editing here for the last couple of days. I would like to see sustained editing over a longer period of time... though it doesn't have to be quite so prolific :). (An unrelated note: that signature is way too large and needs to be cut down in size) - Adan Aileron (talk) 19:43, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
I'm afraid I have to agree with the previous posters on this Jedi Master Yoda. Adminship is earned, not something given at request. Keep editing and do what you do now and you'll see that in time these votes might change =). Veilor 16:28, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
Though I don't edit here on a regular basis, I have to point this out. This account is a sockpuppet of Arceus The God of Pokemon. He is trying to become a Helper. For his attitude towards others, I banned him on the Pokemon Wiki, now he is trying to use Jello Rabbit and manipulate him. He is also sockpuppeting and meatpuppeting.--Bullet Francisco
You're quit immature, harass other users, plan on making unjust blocks. You don't seem to be trusted with anything really. --BassJapas (talk) 22:31, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
Jello Rabbit is a great User who adds a large amount of rich quality information to several gaming articles. Better watch out, he might go on an edit spree that might straighten the Wiki completely! I am the true Jedi Master! 17:13, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
Adan: The Citations are not a template, and the critical receptions mess up the article. Jello Rabbit 20:41, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
The first part of the statement is irrelevant (so what if they're "not a template"), and the second part is not true at all. - Adan Aileron (talk) 15:09, June 7, 2011 (UTC)
Win or lose? This has been up for quite a long time so I guess its time to close. So... win or lose? Questioning :p. Jello Rabbit 20:27, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
Closing as not yet. Candidate has made some efforts to learn, but could still use some more experience. He could possibly be ready by the end of 2011. Please don't think of this as "losing". This is just the "first round". - Adan Aileron (talk) 08:58, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
I don't. I have fun here already ;3. Jello Rabbit 10:25, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
Mass-removes citations, which are useful for ensuring the verifiability of facts, such as release announcements, and removes entire sections (ie. critical reception, which informs the reader about how game critics view the game) from articles. - Adan Aileron (talk) 19:43, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
