Dance Central is a music video game for the Xbox 360 and utilizes the Kinect motion peripheral. The game is developed by Harmonix, creators of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises, and was a launch title for Kinect when it releases in North America on November 4, 2010. A version for PlayStation 3 is being "considered".[2].
Gameplay involves the player performing given dance moves which are tracked by Kinect and represented on the screen by an in-game avatar.
The game features over 600 different dance moves spanning over 90 dance routines. A mode entitled "Break it Down" allows beginners to learn more advanced dance moves in a step-by-step process.[3]
