Donkey Kong Country is a Donkey Kong platform series game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and the Virtual Console. This game has a psuedo-sequel known as Donkey Kong Land and stars Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.

Gameplay

This game is the first to have the tag-team system on which Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong follow each other throughout the level (excluding GBC). If both Kongs get injured, then must either start the level over again or in the Star Barrel which is known as a checkpoint. Any missing Kong can be recovered by a DK Barrel if injured by an enemy or boss.

Synopsis

In this game, Donkey Kong asks his nephew, Diddy Kong to guard his banana hoard at night when he goes to sleep. Then Kremlings come in, attack Diddy Kong then seal him in a barrel and steal all of Donkey Kong's bananas. The next morning, Cranky Kong wakes up Donkey Kong and tells him that you're in for a big surprise in your banana hoard.
