Stupid Invaders is an adventure computer game based on Xilam's 1997-2008 animated series, Space Goofs. The video game was released on June 28, 2001 by Ubisoft plus it was developed by Xilam for Microsoft Windows and ported to the Dreamcast by Titanium Studios.

Summary[ | ]

The plot centers around the aliens and their attempts to return to their home planet, Zigma-B. The story follows Etno and his four friends, but they are trapped with him in a laboratory after crash-landing on Earth. Dr. Saccharin, an evil scientist and his assistant, Igor has sent a ruthless, mysterious bounty hunter, Bolok to capture the aliens for his experiments.

Gameplay[ | ]

All the main characters of Xilam's animated series, are playable through the course of the game. The game is notable for deliberately rejecting or distorting some clichéd aspects of the adventure genre; standard adventure game tactics such as picking up, talking to or interacting with anything encountered will often result in instant (albeit highly comical) death for the player character and the need to reload, for example, often with no warning.

Reception[ | ]

The game was met with average to mixed reception. GameRankings and Metacritic gave it a score of 75.48% and 64 out of 100 for the Dreamcast version, and 68.46% and 65 out of 100 for the PC version.
