This cockatrice feather is a spell component for the magical attempt to stop the Wailing Death plague. The bird-like beast it came from was one of the magical creatures sent from Waterdeep to be part of the cure attempt. They were all lost in an attack as they were brought into the city. This feather should be delivered to Lady Aribeth with all haste.
