The Intellivision II is an update to the original Intellivision. Besides having a smaller case, the Intellivision II also has detachable controllers with flatter membrane keypads, and the Power and Reset buttons were combined into one single button, which required depressing for several seconds when the system is turned on in order to turn it off. Some games such as Donkey Kong, Carnival, Venture, and Mouse Trap were rendered inoperable to play on this version of the system due to a modification in the system's EXEC chip purposely designed to lock out unlicensed third party titles.
