Need for Speed is a street racing series created and published by Electronic Arts. It featrues car customization, 7 styles of racing: Circuit, Sprint,Drift, Drag, Speed Trap, and Canyon, tons of tracks and the most exotic, fastest cars worldwide. The game is Need for Speed: Carbon released in 2006. The newest game, Need for Speed: Undercover, was released in December 2008.

Race modes
- Circut
- a lap race, go around the same track a couple of times.
- Sprint
- a point to point race.
- Toolbooth/checkpoint
- basically a sprint with checkpoints that the racer must get to before time runs out.
- Speedtrap
- a sprint race where the car that reaches the fastest speed wins.
- Drag
- a manual transmission trace.
- Canyon
- a race that first appeared in Need for Speed: Carbon that is a one on one race down a canyon. Racers can also fall off the track.
