Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil 5 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with a number of changes from its predecessor Resident Evil 4. The game is being produced by Jun Takeuchi who also worked on Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, and the Onimusha series. The main character of this game will be Chris Redfield from the first Resident Evil game. The game is to take place in a western type environment and will contain brighter environments rather then just the dark murky environments in previous Resident Evil installments. Also, the enemy is said to be neither zombies nor ganado but a new lifeless force after you. It is confirmed to run in High Definition when released.
