SimEnc (run by the Simming League) is a wiki for recording online simming and role play history. From 2005-2012 it functioned like wikipedia and championed collaboration and consensus decision making among users. However, in late 2012, its editorial board changed policy so that each page was assigned an owner. Only the page owner is permitted to edit the page, similar to facebook or myspace. Since the new policy went into effect, the collection of information and creation of new pages has come to a halt. User participation is non-existent beyond advertising.
