The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is the second game in the series released for the Nintendo DS. It follows events that took place in The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass.
Story
In the land of New Hyrule, Link is a young boy who is now a new train conductor about to get his graduation certificate from Princess Zelda herself. During an investigation of why the Spirit Tracks are disappearing, Zelda is killed and Chancellor Cole is revealed to be in league with the evil Malladus, using Zelda's body as a vessel to bring Malladus back to life. Zelda's spirit contacts Link, who then helps her to restore the Spirit Tracks and to regain her physical form and to stop Chancellor Cole's plan to revive Malladus.
Gameplay
It is similar to that of The Phantom Hourglass, except that travel to various locations in New Hyrule is now done by train, which Link controls throughout the game. The player can also control Zelda as she inhabits a Phantom Knight suit of armor, which can come in handy for solving certain problems within the various temples they visit.
