The first of two epic RPG projects being developed for Microsoft's second console. The game is being developed by Artoon under the supervision of Mistwalker, Blue Dragon is being created by the studio founded by Square-Enix's Hironobu Sakaguchi and the makers of Blinx. Featuring characters by designer Akira Toriyama and music by Nobuo Uematsu, it tells the story of a young boy named Shu who has special adventure with his two friends and a mythical blue dragon.
Story[ | ]
Blue Dragon centers around a 16 year old boy named Shu. After many years of his hometown being attacked by the Landshark, Shu teams up with his friends Kluke and Jiro to destroy the Landshark, only to find a more powerful evil behind its reins.

Gameplay[ | ]
Characters do not attack like traditional RPGs using weapons and magic. Instead each can control their shadow. These shadows take different forms depending upon the person. For example Shu's shadow takes the form of a dragon once battle begins (most likely where the game draws its title). All the shadows can learn forms like assassin or sword. The player must take on a stance to activate ones' shadow in battle. Depending upon the players heart and power their shadow will change.
