Video Chess is a game released for the Atari 2600.

It is your basic game of chess, where your goal is to checkmate your opponent by capturing his king or setting up a situation that he cannot escape from while preventing your opponent from doing the same. The game consists of eight skill levels, from beginning to expert, where the computer can take from seconds up to minutes to decide on a move.
