If being a multi-Game Boy emulator wasn't enough, it has a variety of tools to improve or change your gameplay. It has an arsenal of options available like changing the frame skip, so you can mark a speed rate for your game or proceed as high as 200% emulation speed. The Video properties of the emulation can be fixed to your needs, like choosing to open the VBA in a resolution X1, X2, X3 & X4 and other full screen sizes.

Emulator has some emulation configuration settings that should not be touched without a clear understanding of their purpose. Next one is Sound, where volume can be altered. Game Boy is used to modify settings pertaining to the internal Game Boy ROM performance.

The priority level you give to the emulator allows it to have priority processing over other applications. Filter is an advanced tool for pixel filtering and rendering pixels. Joypad allows gamepad support to be tweaked, including auto-fire capability to be triggered. Language allows you to change the language of the VBA to your needs, dependent on local computer language support.

VBA also allows screenshots of the game screen to be taken; the output can be recorded to AVI, and sound output can be recorded to WAV.
