Absol (Japanese: アブソル Absol) is a Dark-type Pokémon that is #359 in the National Pokédex. It gives 2 ATK EVs when defeated. It is known as the Disaster Pokémon because it appears before natural disasters such as earthquakes and tidal waves. People often accuse Absol of causing the disasters themselves, resulting in its reputation as a doom-bringer. There are no gender differences between females and males of this Pokémon.

Absol's first appearance was in Jirachi: Wish Maker. Absol showed up to take Jirachi back to Forina. Drew captured and trained an Absol for the Kanto Grand Festival. It also appeared in the episode Absol-ute Disaster. The people of a town were blaming Absol for all the bad things that were happening to their town during the past month.
