The third 3D platformer to star that Crystal Dynamics mascot, Gex the TV-loving Gecko. As the story goes, Agent Xtra (Played by Marliece Andrada, who is seen on the box art striking a pose that must have been done on a million James Bond/Austin Powers movie posters) has been kidnapped by Gex's arch-nemesis, Rez. Not the surreal shooter.
The game, like many, draws on the soul of Super Mario 64 by including collectibles. Instead of coins, you'll be getting fly tokens. Instead of stars, you'll be striving for remote controls. Also like SM64, you'll need a certain number of remotes to gain access to a new world that has more remotes for you to collect. Mario will punch & kick. Gex with tail-whip & kick.
But there's one thing that Gex does in spades that Mario almost never does anymore: Change his clothes. Gex can put on different outfits, not to be stylish and attract an image-conscious audience, but to gain new abilities. Some outfits will let him glide, or uncover bonus coins. The game is very much like the previous installment, Gex: Enter the Gecko.
