God of War III (working title), the fourth game in the God of War series, has been confirmed by SCEA to be in development for PlayStation 3. As of late 2007, details are scarce; a release date is similarly unknown, although historically, God of War titles have been released in March. Since God of War: Chains of Olympus, the first PSP outing for the series, is slated to arrive in March 2008, if Sony holds to the yearly tradition, GoW III won't arrive until 2009 at the earliest.
