Guitar Hero: On Tour was the first game in the Guitar Hero series to appear on the Nintendo DS. It was released June 22, 2008 in North America, June 25 in Australia, and July 18 in Europe. It was developed by Vicarious Visions.
Despite mixed reviews, the game sold well. A sequel, Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades, was announced.
[edit] Gameplay
The game's gameplay is quite different from previous Guitar Hero games. The Guitar Grip only has four buttons in stead of five, and a pick-shaped stylus is used in stead of a strum bar. Gameplay modes remain largely unchanged, however. Career Mode and Quick Play are still present, and multiplayer modes are available via the Nintendo DS's Wi-Fi connection. Songs can also be shared with Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades with Wi-Fi connection.
