Wikia Gaming is an encyclopedia that provides information on all types of games: Video games, Computer games, Trading Card games, Pen & paper games, Board games and game related topics. For more information see this page about Wikia Gaming.

[edit] How can I help?

Anyone can edit almost any page, click on the edit tab above to edit a desired page. Click the show preview to test your edits and when your done you can click save page to submit the changes. For more information on editing, click here.

[edit] Signing up

Signing up gives you access to edit some protected pages. Also you will have the ability to upload images. You will have an identity that will be recognize by other users of Wikia. Users who don't sign up have all their edits publicly associated with their current IP address. To sign up click here.

[edit] Blocking Ads

The Ads are used to support our site, but if you do not like them or do not wish to see any ads. Note: This will also disable ads on other sites too such as myspace, youtube, ... etc

1. First download the Host.zip file from http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.zip
2. Unzip the file using Winzip, Winrar, or 7-Zip (free)
3. There should be 2 files a file named HOST, another file named mvps.bat
4. Click on the .bat file and it should install. The HOST file has 14509 advertisement sites (check or add more advertisement sites by changing the file to .txt to see, then change it back) which it redirects to a blank page (Page number 127.0.0.1) , The mvps.bat file installs it to the proper directory. The page will not be blank if you have apache installed
   1. The files are installed in Windows/System32/drivers/etc (depending which windows version you have)
5. Restart the computer or the DNS client in the services.

Blocking ads in FireFox

If you are using Mozilla FireFox, you can get an extension called AdBlock Plus

If you do not speak English you can use translation tools to help you read material that is presented in Wikia Gaming. Use Babelfish (on Altavista) or Google Translate to translate the page to the language you desire. The translated page may have grammar problems since it is mechanically translated.
