Bad dudes. The Ing are aliens that come in many different forms, usually with one big glowing eye. They have the ability to turn into puddles of black, oil-like puddles that make them harder to follow and harder to kill for Samus Aran. They also are capable of infecting other creatures and making them "dark", giving them stronger defense and sometimes new abilities.

They originate on Dark Aether, and came in through a portal or dimensional rift when a meteor struck Light Aether. The result is a gigantic war with the Luminoth, which the Ing were winning.

All Ing are weak to Light Beam shots.
