Journey: Escape is a game released for the Atari 2600. It is based on the rock band's 1981 album of the same name, and features an animated graphical interpretation of the album's cover with a looped intro to the song "Don't Stop Believin'" from the album.

Help get the band members of Journey safely to their Scarab Ship and onto their next gig. You start off with $50,000 and guide each member past the throngs of groupies, paparazzi, promoters, and barricades in order to reach the ship before time runs out. Each time you collide with any of those obstacles, you lose time and (except with the barricades) some money. Along the way there are robotic roadies and Mr. Mighty Manager who can help you get some safety from the hungry crowd. When you get all five members to the ship, it blasts off into space where you go through the same thing all over again once you reach your next gig.

You lose the following amount of cash for run-ins with:

  • Love-crazed groupie -- $300
  • Shifty-eyed promoter -- $2000
  • Sneaky photographer -- $600

You gain the following amount of cash for run-ins with:

  • Mighty Manager -- $9900

Getting all five members on board the Scarab Ship earns you $50,000

Midway would acquire the license to the rock band Journey, basing their arcade game around the band's 1983 album Frontiers.
