Kanto is a region in the Pokémon series of games.
It's map design is based off the Kantō Region of Japan.
Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Yellow, Pokémon Silver, Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Fire Red, and Pokémon Leaf Green involve Kanto.
In Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow, the player's adventure is strictly limited to Kanto.
In Pokémon Fire Red, and Pokémon Leaf Green, the player has access to Kanto in addition to the Sevii Islands.
In Pokémon Silver, Pokémon Gold, and Pokémon Crystal the player's adventure is initially limited to Johto but is allowed access to Kanto after defeating the Elite Four.
