Kirby Air Ride is a racing game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the GameCube in 2003.

Gameplay[ | ]

Kirby Air Ride is a racing game, focusing around the use of the famed Warpstar, however, other vehicles (and characters) can be used/unlocked throughout gameplay. The vehicles hover above the ground and move on their own, and they have the ability to boost. There are three modes in Kirby Air Ride:

Air Ride - A regular race. There are a multitude of enemies littered around each race, some of which provide the racers with a copy ability (such as Microphone or Bomb).

Top Ride - A top-down "mini-race" with fast-paced action and items galore.

City Trial - A unique mode, as players ride around a major city collecting power-ups within the allotted time. In this mode, racers are able to switch out of their vehicles and hop in any one they see. Events can happen (such as meteors landing all over the city). There are three parts to a legendary vehicle scattered around the city (hidden in red boxes), collect all three to unleash it's power! Once time is up, the racers go through a "stadium" event which can be anything from a simple drag race, to an action-packed demolition derby.
