[edit] Story

Shang Tsung, the demon, was defeated by Liu Kang in the first Mortal Kombat. Now he pledges to Shao Kahn. Shao Kahn, the new boss of the game, gives him youth so the demon can defeat their enemies. Kintaro is the protector of Shao Kahn, it is a four-armed monster from the same race as Goro.

[edit] Gameplay

The game plays like the original Mortal Kombat, but with faster, smoother gameplay.

In addition to fatality moves, the player can execute "friendship moves" where you don't kill you opponent but instead you give them a gift. There's also the amusing "babalities" where you can humiliate your defeated opponent by turning him or her into an infant.

[edit] Notes

Prior to the formation of the ESRB, Nintendo allowed for the Super NES release of this game to feature the blood and fatalities intact, though they put a label on the game box to warn people of its content.
