In some video games which do not offer save slots, a password save system is available for players who do not have a memory card. In such a system, the player is given a "password" (usually a long string of apparently random characters and numbers) that contains all the data needed to qualify as a save game. The player can later enter this password into the game to load the game. Password save can be frustrating when a player wishes to save after each level and must write down dozens of passwords for a single game.
Passwords are also sometimes used to transfer data from one game to another without physically connecting them. This is most often found in handheld games. __FLAGS__
