Racing Hero is a 1989 racing arcade game from Sega.

The game ran on the Sega X Board arcade system.

Racing Hero is considered a spiritual successor to the Hang-On series, but uses an over-the-shoulder perspective.[3]

The game's music was composed by Hikoshi Hashimoto.[4]

The gameplay is like a cross between Super Hang-On and OutRun.[5]

Like Super Hang-On, the player controls a motorcyclist, using a motorbike handlebar controller.[5]

Like OutRun, the gameplay involves the player riding through a traffic-filled road and reaching the next checkpoint before the time limit runs out.[5]

Also like OutRun, there are forked roads along the way, giving the player a choice between two paths, leading up to four different ending points.[5]

For its tracks, the game includes ten different international locations,[6] with their own themes.[5] In England, for example, cottages, red buses and the Houses of Parliament can be seen. In Egypt, deserts and pyramids can be seen.[5]
