Ranged weapons are a broad term used to describe weapons that can be effective from multiple ranges, as opposed to melee weapons which require the character to be within close proximity. Some examples of ranged weapons include bows, guns, and wands. Ranged weapons are commonly used for kiting, but can also be used to sustain weapon damage when distance becomes a factor.
