The Simulation sport genre tends to try and keep things as realistic, yet reasonably fun, as possible. Don't expect wild dunks in basketball games or flaming pitches in baseball games. Simulation sport games often involve real players, or experts, whether it comes to game consulting or providing motion capture animation.
This genre is not typically known for being good to pick up and play like the arcade sport genre. It is catered more to hardcore fans of that particular sport, who know how the game is played, and can understand the subtleties and accuracies involved.
