Overview[ | ]
Siren's Call is one of four PvP zones between City of Heroes and City of Villains, and the only one located in Paragon City itself. A coastal part of the city directly east of Steel Canyon, Siren's Call was destroyed around autumn of 2004 when the hero Sunburst lost control of his powers and went off like a half-megaton nuke. While some claim this is a good reason to have restrictions on heroes, in truth the explosion was triggered by Arachnos. For over a year the zone was too radioactive for even heroes to enter, but it decreased to acceptable amounts in late October 2005. And when the heroes returned, they found Arachnos waiting. The War Walls that protect Paragon had been destroyed by the blast, making it a perfect beachhead for Arachnos troops. It's now a constant battle between Freedom Corp, Arachnos, the super-heroes and villains who come looking for a fight, and various other gangs that are drawn by conflict.
