Spider-Man is a 2000 video game by Neversoft based on the Marvel Comics character, or, more specifically, The Spider-Man animated series of the 1990s. It was initially released for PlayStation, but later ported to Nintendo 64. PC and Dreamcast ports came the next year. A 2D Game Boy Color Version was done by Vicarious Visions, who also did the handheld ports of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
[edit] Reception
Spider-Man was one of the earliest 3D super-hero game to get a strong positive critical response and is also generally held to be the first game to properly represent Spider-Man and his rather unique abilities.
