which release date is correct, Sept 29 or Aug 31?
- Well, here are the dates for the sites I searched through (I tried to check Mobygames but it was down for some reason).
- IGN lists the dates as September 26, 1996 for NA and May 1, 1997 for EU.
- GameFAQs lists the dates as August 31, 1996 for NA and March 1, 1997 for EU.
- Wikipedia lists the dates as September 29, 1996 for NA and March 1, 1997 for EU.
- Gamespot shows just a NA date of August 31, 1996.
- So It seems Gamespot and GameFAQs agree with the North American date and Wikipedia and GameFAQs agree on the European date. However, everyone (besides Gamespot) listed the Japanese release as June 23, 1996. I'll go ahead and put the Japanese date in the infobox, but I'm not quite sure which dates we should go with for North America and Europe. — Oddity 12:59, 27 Jul 2005 (CDT)
September 29. Mario 64 was a launch title, and even GameFAQs says the N64 launched 9/29 in North America. -- Jfarer On the Super Mario 64 game, Princess Peach appears at the very, very beginning, with her letter. She also appears at the end of the game (the end of the third Bowser battle). Does she actually say audible words in the castle or anywhere in the middle of the game? And if there's a Princess Toadstool Peach, my long-living question is, is there a Queen Toadstool in Mario 64?
