The power nine surfaced because of their sheer power combined with their cheap cost. The Power nine consists of Black Lotus, Mox Pearl, Mox Sapphire, Mox Jet, Mox Ruby, Mox Emerald, Ancestral Recall, Time Walk, Timetwister. No wonder people call Blue the 'broken' color. These cards were dirt cheap in the game's early days, so if you happen to have a box full of them in your attic, give them to me.
