In the latest developer diary for The Lord of the Rings Online expansion Rise of Isengard, the game's creators discuss one of the locations featured in the add-on - the Gap of Rohan, where the Rohirrim battle the Dunlendings.
Here's a list of the new locations added in the expansion:
- Dunland – Adventure amidst the bright forests in the foothills of the southern Misty Mountains. Beware the Dunland Clans, rugged warriors tempted by the dark promise of power.
- Gap of Rohan – Battle over the legendary pass between Eriador and the plane of Rohan. This key strategic point must be defended against the ambitions of Sauron.

Kotaku previews the upcoming mecha RTS AirMech from Carbon Games, a giant robot game that looks very familiar to the Sega Genesis classic Herzog Zwei, one of the earliest real-time strategy games.
James Green of Carbon Games explained that the game is also inspired by the popular Defense of the Ancients mod for Warcraft III, which, aside from a plethora of clones, is also getting a sequel from Valve.
- "Think of the AirMech as your hero," Green explained, "and you also select a Pilot, and then the 8 units you take into battle. As you level up, you unlock AirMechs/Pilots/Units and then can customize your loadout that way—light/fast/cheap units for rushing, heavy units for defense, etc."

Microsoft has announced that Kinect Star Wars, the motion controlled game from the Galaxy Far, Far Away, which was originally slated for "holiday 2011", has been delayed until 2012.
According to Microsoft, it will allow the game to realise its "full potential".
