A number of games are being released today, one of which is Duke Nukem Forever. If you read our review , then you'd know the world record isn't for the lowest scoring game in 2011, although its 4.5 score is quite low for a game that's been in development for 14 years.

The Guinness Book of World Records 2011 Gamer's Edition will have Duke Nukem Forever in it for earning the title "Longest FPS Development Period" for of course being in development for 14 years by 3 different developers. I have a feeling this is one Guinness World Record that will never be touched, that is, unless Square Enix plans to develop one of the most epic Final Fantasy games ever.
